Terms of Service

Welcome to AutoFlip. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and AutoFlip ("we", "us", or "AutoFlip") covering your use of the AutoFlip website, alert emails, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. What AutoFlip does
AutoFlip is a notification tool. You save searches (a query, a location, optional filters); we watch public listing pages on third-party marketplaces (such as Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, eBay, and OfferUp) for matching items; when a new listing appears, we send you an email with the details and a link back to the source. We do not buy, sell, or broker any listings. We do not access your accounts on third-party marketplaces, and we do not message any sellers on your behalf.
2. Accounts
To use the Service you must create an account. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for everything that happens under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use AutoFlip. You agree to provide an accurate email address — alerts depend on it. We can suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the Service, violate these Terms, or remain inactive for an extended period.
3. Free and paid plans
Some features are free (the Spotter tier). Paid plans (Picker, Pro Flipper, Dealer, Mogul) and the Priority Speed add-on are billed in advance through Stripe on a monthly or annual cycle. Prices are listed on our pricing page and may change with notice before your next renewal. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You can cancel any time through the Stripe customer portal; you keep access through the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, paid fees are non-refundable.
4. Acceptable use
You may not (a) use the Service to break any law or any third-party marketplace's terms; (b) try to interfere with, reverse engineer, or overload our systems; (c) resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute alert data or other Service output; (d) scrape AutoFlip itself; (e) use the Service to mislead, defraud, harass, or harm any person. We may rate-limit, throttle, or temporarily disable any account that places undue load on the Service, with or without notice.
5. Third-party marketplaces
AutoFlip is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Facebook, Craigslist, eBay, OfferUp, or any other marketplace. Listing data we surface is owned by the third party that hosts it; AutoFlip reformats and forwards it for your convenience. Listings can be removed, edited, or proven inaccurate at any time. You are responsible for verifying any listing before contacting a seller or sending money. We make no warranty about the accuracy, legality, or availability of listings or sellers.
6. Email delivery
We use Amazon SES to send alert emails. Delivery depends on third-party infrastructure we don't fully control (your mail provider, spam filters, network outages). We can't guarantee that every alert will reach your inbox. You agree to keep your contact email current and to use the unsubscribe and notification controls in your account if you wish to stop receiving alerts.
7. Your content
You retain ownership of anything you submit to AutoFlip — search names, exclusion terms, intent descriptions, feedback. By submitting it, you grant AutoFlip a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and process it solely to operate and improve the Service. We may publish aggregate, de-identified statistics (e.g. "most-searched categories this month") without identifying any user.
8. Intellectual property
The AutoFlip name, logo, software, and content (other than third-party listings) are owned by AutoFlip and protected by intellectual property law. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial deal-hunting. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY ALERT WILL REACH YOU IN TIME TO COMPLETE A TRANSACTION.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, AUTOFLIP'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID AUTOFLIP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DEALS, OR LOST OPPORTUNITY. THIS SECTION APPLIES EVEN IF A REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify AutoFlip against any third-party claim arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights, including any marketplace's terms.
12. Termination
You can stop using AutoFlip at any time. We can suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms, abuse of the Service, non-payment, or where required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (payment obligations, disclaimers, limitations of liability, dispute resolution) will survive.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. If you're a consumer in a jurisdiction that requires local venue or law, the mandatory provisions of your local law still apply.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll post the updated Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. If a change affects paid subscribers materially, we'll also notify you by email. Your continued use of the Service after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
